Obama has stones of steel to make this statement and not discuss the impact that illegal immigration has on this condition. The logic that he is using is beyond unsound.
If you look at the recent demise of Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan, where real American’s have lost their jobs, because of both mismanagement and the financial damage inflicted by illegal aliens, how could one with a clear conscience say that illegal aliens do not have a major impact on the cost of the American health care system?
Illegal aliens have been literally bringing down the house on hospitals now for several years.
I have been in the Saint Vincent’s emergency room several times over the years, and over the last 10 – 15 years illegal aliens have been using the Hospital as a primary care physician.
Nurses and folks who work there have stated such whenever I discussed the topic with them.
Obama by his own logic has just confirmed what Republican’s have accused the bill of.
If in fact as he states, “tax payers subsidize the uninsured when they go to the emergency room”, then by his very logic if this is to change it implies that the bill will cover illegal aliens!
